To fulfil Xavier University Bhubaneswar’s (XUB) social and environmental mission of bringing a transformation in the society, Xavier School of Sustainability (XSOS) was established in 2015. This institute offers UG, PG and doctoral level programmes in the area of environmental and sustainable development to the students.

The institute, apart from having centralised placements at the university level, has established a Career Advisory Services Committee that is in charge of carrying out all the career-related affairs. It not only just looks into the summer internship process but also is working towards offering career advice to the students. Over the years, it has formed a number of industrial collaboration wherein leadership talks, summits and conclaves are organized to help students engage with the industry.

Xavier School of Sustainability Admission Process

The admission process for Xavier School of Sustainability is completely online via the official website of XUB (www.xub.edu.in). It is advised by the university that the students apply via a computer with an active internet connection (using a computer for application with Chrome, IE-V11 and Mozilla as best suited browsers).

  • Admission to BSc (Hons) in Environment Science is based on merit decided on the basis of academic performance in Class 10 and Class 12 exams
  • For BSc (Hons) in Sustainable Development, eligible candidates are required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and appear for Skype/PI for final selection
  • Final selection to MBA is based on a valid score in one among XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMT/ NMAT exam followed by performance in Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)
  • For both full-time and part-time PhD, candidates are shortlisted based on their academic records and SOP. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), subject test (if applicable), a presentation followed by a PI round.

Xavier School of Sustainability Scholarships 2020

Xavier School of Sustainability via Xavier University Bhubaneswar offers a variety of scholarships for its UG programme - BSc (Hons). Details of all the scholarships offered are mentioned below:

  • Applicants with 85% aggregate in Class 12 are offered 50% course/tuition fee waiver during admission. This offer continues if the student attains at least 8.0 CGPA in each of the subsequent years.
  • Meritorious scholarships are also offered to the topper of each university programme at the end of the year which leads to a course/tuition fee waiver of 50%
