Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. KUK has been accredited with A+ grade by NAAC and has been placed at eight position amongst the State Universities of the country in Category-I by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). KUK is UGC approved and has a membership of a huge university network called Association of Commonwealth Universities.

KUK offers 175 courses on the campus in 47 Departments/institutes and through 282 affiliated colleges and institutes in seven district of Haryana. KUK boasts of providing students with amenities such as smart classrooms, Wi-Fi campus, 24 hrs library facility, laboratories, hostel accommodation, cafeterias, canteens, market, swimming pool, gymnasia, bank, ATM’s, post office and other world-class sports facilities.

Kurukshetra University Cutoff 2020

Kurukshetra University started releasing the merit list 2020 for admission to UG courses on September 25, 2020 and PG courses on October 29, 2020. Candidates seeking admission to UG, UG Integrated or PG courses are required to apply for the course-specific entrance exams. After conducting the entrance exam, the varsity releases a merit list on the official website for the reference of candidates. The candidates, then, are selected for admission to the University. For admissions to undergraduate courses and a few postgraduate courses, candidates should have a valid score in KUK Entrance Exam

Kurukshetra University Admission Process

KUK admissions forms are available online at KUK's official website. Admission process for the courses offered by KUK varies contingent on the discipline. Candidates seeking admissions to KUK can refer to below-mentioned details:

  • For admissions to undergraduate courses and a few postgraduate courses, candidates should have a positive score in KUK Entrance Exam
  • For admissions to BTech, candidates must have a positive score in JEE Mains, and admissions to MTech is contingent on the scores in GATE
