Kuvempu University is a public state university in Shimoga, Karnataka, It was established in 1987 by the act of the Karnataka state legislature through amendment No. 28/1976 dated 29 January 1989 under the Karnataka State University Act 1976.[2]. It was recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1994 and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The University offers undergraduate and graduate degree and PhD programmes in extensive range of disciplines. It has 35 postgraduate Departments in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Education, Science and Technology.

Kuvempu University Admission Process

The University offers degree, diploma and certificate programmes at UG, PG, doctorate (PhD) and Post Doctorate levels.  Few points to be noted for the admission process as below:

  • Admission to UG courses is offered to candidates who have cleared  class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board
