Established in the year 1989 by the Maharashtra State Legislature, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik (YCMOU) is the fifth-largest Open University in India. This university offers more than 100 offline and online degree courses in the fields of Commerce, Social Sciences, Humanities and Computer Science across 10 regional centres and over 3,000 multi-programme study centres. The curriculum of these programmes is designed for Equivalence, with respective similar academic programmes, offered by other statutory universities. This university has been ranked as one of the top Mega Open Universities across the globe.

YCMOU Admission Process
YCMOU admission is mainly based on the candidate's aggregate obtained in the qualifying degree/ exam. It conducts a common entrance test (CET) for specific courses such as BTech, MSc, MBA and MPH. Admissions are conducted online through its official website. Candidates need to fill the application form online and pay the fee for the same using Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
YCMOU Courses

YCMOU Placements
YCMOU has a training and placement cell offers that is responsible for facilitating placements at the end of the year and providing career guidance to the students. As per the data collated from alumni reviews on Shiksha.com, three companies came for placements in the year 2017 and offered the highest package of Rs 8 LPA. In the year 2019, the highest offered CTC was recorded to be Rs 16 LPA and the average CTC offered was Rs 5 LPA. Some of the top companies that have visited the YCMOU campus so far include IBM, Tata Housing, LT, iGate, Taj, Club Mahindra, DK Group and Wipro.
