Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi (CUSAT) is a government college which was established in 1971 under the Government of Kerala, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). CUSAT Kochi was earlier known as the University of Cochin.
CUSAT Kochi provides 140+ courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various specialisations. The courses at CUSAT Kochi are offered in Engineering and Architecture, Sciences, Law, Media, Mass Communication and Journalism, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and other streams.

M.Sc Seafood Safety and Trade
The candidate should have passed Bachelor's degree in Fisheries / Food Technology / Food Science / Food Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology with at least 55% marks in optional subjects. Bachelor's degree in Fisheries includes Industrial Fisheries / Aquaculture / Fishery Science / Industrial Fish & Fisheries / B.F.Sc (Nautical Science). Bachelor's degree in Food Technology / Food Science includes B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology / Food Science and Management /Food Science / Food Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Science and Quality Control.
M.Sc Meteorology
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with Physics/Mathematics as the main subject with 55% marks. Those with Mathematics as the main subject should have studied Physics as one of the subsidiaries and vice-versa.
M.Sc Hydrochemistry
B.Sc Degree in Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics as subsidiaries or B.Sc. Degree of any University in Kerala with Polymer Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Petrochemicals/ Environment and Water Management as the main subject and Mathematics and Physics/Computer Science as subsidiaries, with a minimum of 55% marks in the respective main subject.
M.Sc Marine Biology
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with any branch of Life Sciences such as Aquaculture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology etc. as the main subject or B.Sc. degree in Fishery Science with at least 55% marks in the optional subjects.
M.Sc Marine Geology
The candidate should have passed B.Sc degree in Geology / Physics / Chemistry with 60% aggregate marks in optional.
M.Sc Marine Geophysics
The candidate should have passed B.Sc degree in Geology / Physics with Mathematics as one of the subjects and at least 60% aggregate marks.
M.Sc Chemistry
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/ Environmental Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/ Petrochemicals (main) with Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects with at least 55% marks in the main subject.
M.Phil Applied Economics
The candidate should have passed in Master's degree examination in the subject concerned of any of the Universities approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or an examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent to grade B in the UGC 7- point scale.
M.Sc Mathematics
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with Mathematics main with at least 55% marks for optional subjects taken together.
M.Sc Physics
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with Physics main and Mathematics subsidiary with at least 55% marks in Physics.
