• Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.
• Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by the beginning of October of the year of the start of the course and no age limit.

Admission to the Executive Programme will be offered by the Institute based on candidates’ fulfillment of eligibility conditions and ability to synchronize programme objectives with personal career goals. The Executive Programme is openvto all working professionals and selfemployed individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Graduation or its equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution and managerial work experience of minimum FIVE years.

OR

• Post-Graduate Degree/ Engineering Degree or its equivalent from any recognized University or Institution and managerial work experience of minimum THREE years.
• Minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation.
• Work experience until 31st July., 2023 will be considered.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required at the time of admission only for sponsored candidates.
• Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (noncreamy layer)/PWD/EWS candidates as per Government of India rules.
• No age limit for applicants.

• A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/ 4- semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scaleOR
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized, or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph. D. programme. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/ Differently-abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
• Diploma courses that are considered equivalent to a Master’s Degree (e.g., PGDIM from I IMs) with 55% marks or CGPA equivalent to B Plus, recognized by AICTE/UGC would be considered. In such cases, candidates would be required to produce the necessary certificate(s) from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The period of diploma courses must be as per the Equivalence Granted by AIU to the Institute/ University during that duration.
• Candidates who are in the final year of the above mentioned degree programme are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, their admission will be on a provisional basis. Admission of such candidates who joins the Ph.D. Program on a provisional basis but fails to obtain minimum percentage in the as defined above is liable to be cancelled forthwith. Such candidates should immediately inform the Institution of the declaration of her / his results. Admission of candidates who do not inform the Institute of such situation will automatically stand cancelled on 15th December 2024. No request for extension of time for re- evaluation, etc. will be entertained.

• Only Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian or Foreign University with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) marks and minimum of 3 years of working experience in management / executive level is prefer.
  OR
• Graduation with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) and Post-graduation degree and any professional degree such as law, engineering, architecture, medicine, pharmaceutical, agriculture, horticulture, etc. with 2 years of work experience is preferred. 
• Only managerial work experience until September 2023 will be considered. 
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required at the time of admission only for sponsored candidates. 
• The total number of seats offered in the programme are 120. Seats are reserved as per prescribed categories as per Government of India norms. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirements of the institute under this category.
• No age limit for applicants.

• Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University or Institution with minimum 50% marks. (45% in case students belonging to Reserved Category)
• A minimum managerial experience (including self-employed) of not less than THREE Years as on 30 June 2024 (Only the work experience after eligibility qualifications will be considered).
• No Objection Certificate’ from employer is required at the time of Admission, No age limit.

The eligibility criteria for applying in IIFT’s Ph.D. in Economics (Full Time) programme are the following:

1. Master’s degree in Economics from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%

may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/differently abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the University Grants Commission (UGC) from time to time. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% may also be allowed to those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

2. Candidates who are in the final year of the Master’s degree in Economics are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, their admission will be on provisional basis. Admission of such candidates who joins the Ph.D. Programme on provisional basis but fails to obtain minimum percentage in the Master’s degree examination (as defined in A above) is liable to be cancelled forthwith. Such candidates should immediately inform the Institution on declaration of her / his results. Admission of candidates who do not inform the Institute of such situation will automatically stand cancelled . No request for extension of time for reevaluation, etc. will be entertained.

3. Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.

4. No Age limit.
