IIPS Mumbai application registrations are going on, Candidates have to register before the deadline ends.
International Institute for Population Sciences was established in 1956 and formerly known as Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970. The International Institute for Population Sciences was established under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. International Institute for Population Sciences is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC).
The International Institute for Population Sciences offers a total of ten courses. IIPS Mumbai courses are offered at postgraduate and doctoral levels. Some of the International Institute for Population Sciences courses are M.Sc. Biostatistics and Demography, Master of Population Studies, M.Phil Biostatistics and Demography, M.Phil Population Studies, Ph.D. Biostatistics and Demography, Ph.D. Population Studies. The institute also offers distance mode courses. Candidates need to appear for a common online test for MA Population studies and M.Sc Biostatistics and Demography.
Candidates aspiring for International Institute for Population Sciences Ph.D. admission are required to sit for written examination, research proposal writing and personal interview. Admission to Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Population Studies is offered based on research proposal presentation and personal interview. The IIPS Mumbai has a placement cell that provides various job opportunities for the students and also organises skill-development programmes to the students. IIPS Mumbai provides scholarships to the deserving students based on their eligibility criteria for admissions. Facilities of IIPS Mumbai include a library, guest house, hostels for boys and girls etc. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls to meet the accommodation requirements of students.

International Institute for Population Sciences Location
The institute is located on Govandi Station Road, Deonar, Opposite Sanjona Chamber, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is the nearest airport located at a distance of 12.4 km that will take 38 minutes to reach the International Institute for Population Sciences. Mumbai Central is the nearest railway station located 20.2 km away from the institute. Students can take a bus or auto to reach International Institute for Population Sciences.

MA Population Studies
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from recognized universities in India or abroad in any subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates) of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in all subjects will be eligible for admission.
Master of Population Studies
Candidates having M.A./M.Sc. degree from a recognized university in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% (50% for reserved candidates) of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in the subjects; Anthropology, Bio-statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Geography, Health Statistics, Mathematics, Population Studies, Political Science, Population Education, Psychology, Rural Development, Social Work, Sociology, and Statistics will be eligible for admission. Candidates having Master degree, other than subjects specified above and having at least two years of experience in Population and Health related field are also eligible to apply.
Candidates who have already passed the qualifying degree examinations and those who have already appeared/ shall be appearing in the final qualifying examinations are eligible to apply. However, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled, if s/he fails to furnish final result by September 30, 2022.
The upper age limit of application is 28 years as on June 30, 2022. Marks and age will be relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS reserved categories as per Government of India rules only.
M.Sc Population Studies

Students who have qualified UGC/CSIR-JRF or any other national level fellowship are encouraged to apply for this programme. Eligible foreign candidate can also apply for admission, provided they secure financial support from an outside agency.
Post Doctoral Fellowship in Population Studies
Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Population Studies or subjects related to Population, Health, Gender, and Development are eligible to apply. Eligible foreign candidates can also apply for admission, provided they secure financial support from any outside agency. Female candidates are encouraged to apply for the P.D.F.
Ph.D Biostatistics and Demography
Candidates having M.Phil. in Demography/Bio-statistics and Demography/Bio-statistics and Epidemiology (passed/appearing) with minimum marks of 55% or equivalent grade. Students who have qualified UGC/CSIR-JRF or any other national level fellowship are encouraged to apply for this programme. Eligible foreign candidate can also apply for admission, provided they secure financial support from an outside agency
