Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) Kochi is a state university established in 2011 by the Government of Kerala. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies offers admission to full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in various streams, such as Engineering, Law, Science and Business administration. KUFOS offers courses including B.F.Sc, B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.F.Sc, P.G.D and  Ph.D. 

KUFOS eligibility criteria for admission vary according to the course and level of study. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies conducts entrance tests for KUFOS admission to some of the courses. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies also accepts scores from national-level entrance tests such as ICAR AIEEA, GATE, CAT,  and KMAT for Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies admission.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies is accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Eligible candidates have to fill out the KUFOS application form available on the KUFOS Kochi official website of the university or obtain it from the university office. Candidates have to submit the required documents and pay the application fee along with the form. Candidates have to appear for the entrance test or counselling as per the course applied for.

The KUFOS has a placement cell that provides training and placement assistance to the students. The cell at Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies organises campus interviews, workshops, and seminars to enhance the employability skills of the students. KUFOS offers facilities including well-equipped laboratories, a library, computer centre, hostel, canteen, sports complex, a gymnasium, auditorium, a guest house, and a health centre. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies also has research centres and extension units for conducting research and outreach activities in fisheries and ocean studies.
