MA Public Policy
To be eligible to appear for admission to the Two-Year Executive M.A. in Public Policy Programme, a candidate should have:
i. Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 55% marks or 50 % marks in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST category or Persons with Disability.
ii. A candidate who is in service can also apply for the course.
iii. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can apply and appear for the Interview Test, subject to the condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
MA Law, Forensic Science and Technology
Any graduate in Arts, Science, Law, Engineering or Medicine.
BA LLB Hons
- There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT.
- As regards the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination), the candidates must have secured:
- Forty-five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories
- Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible to appear in CLAT examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
- In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
- Higher marks in the component /section on legal aptitude in the CLAT exam;
- Higher age;
- Computerized draw of lots.
LLM
- An LL.B Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May are also eligible to apply.
- No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT.
Ph.D Law
Master’s Degree holders satisfying the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated programme. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of the same Institution.
Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.
LLD
A candidate seeking admission to LL. D. programme of the University, must have pursued outstanding research in the concerned discipline and obtained the minimum qualifications required for admission as mentioned below. The candidate:
(a) must have obtained a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree from any recognized university or from a Foreign University of standing, in the concerned discipline, having at least 10 (ten) academic years of teaching experience or exceptional academic achievements in the field of law,
Depending upon the availability of seats the University will issue an advertisement every year inviting applications from candidates seeking admission for the research degree programmes. The maximum seats available during a particular year will be determined by the University. A candidate, who is seeking admission to LL. D. programme and who is eligible for admission in accordance with clause II of these regulations, shall apply to the Vice- Chancellor by submitting the following:

- The eligibility is as per the CLAT Notification, for details see CLAT.
- The reservation policy of Maharashtra as envisaged in the Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014 would be made applicable and admissions will be made only on the merit secured by the applicants in the CLAT. The allocation of seats is as follows:

- Graduation in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) or 45 % marks in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EWC category and Specially Abled Persona or equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear for the Entrance Test, subject to the condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
