Mahatma Gandhi University Tura was established in the year 2011. The main objective of MGU is to provide the best quality education to their students. Different branches in which the courses are offered are Medical Laboratory Technology, Political Sciences, Computer Applications, Rural Management and many more. 

Mahatma Gandhi University Tura also called MGU Tura courses are Diploma, BA, BSc, BBA, BHM, BVoc, BPharma, BPT, BA (Hons), BSc, B.Com, BCA, BALLB, LLB, MHM, LLM, MPT, MCA, MA, MCom, MSW, PGDCA, PGD, MBA, MVoc and MSc. Admission into these programmes is given based on merit acquired in the JEE//DCE/UPSEE//MAT/CAT/SAT/GMAT/ENAT/EMAT exams. Students without any scores are advised to appear for the MGU GET exam conducted by the university.
