The University of Mizoram, Aizwal started functioning in the year 2001 and was established under the Act of Parliament. Mizoram University was accredited A grade by the NAAC. The university currently has 33 functioning departments under 8 departments or schools of study. 35 colleges are affiliated to Mizoram University.
The UG courses offered by Mizoram University Aizawl include B.Tech, B.Arch, BA, BBA, B.Sc and so on. There are a large number of courses at the Master's level as well like M.Tech, M.Sc, MA, MSW, MBA and several others offered by Mizoram University. Admissions to Mizoram University are based on various entrance examinations like CUET UG for UG courses, CUET PG for PG courses. JEE Main for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech, CAT/CMAT/XAT for MBA and so on.
