NALSAR University of Law was established in 1998. NLU Hyderabad is accredited by NAAC and approved by UGC, BCI and AICTE. NALSAR Hyderabad offers courses at the undergraduate and postgrdauate level. The courses at NLU Hyderabad include BA LLB (Hons), MBA, LLM, M.Phil and PhD.
The MBA course at NALSAR is offered by its constituent college, Centre for Management Studies, NALSAR University, Hyderabad. Before applying for admission at NALSAR University the candidates should appear for the CLAT Exam and secure a valid score. Candidates must take an admission test/entrance examination and a personal interview to be considered for admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D programme at NALSAR University of Law.

BA LLB Hons
- As regards minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2), the candidates must have secured:
- Forty-five percent (45%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
- Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
LLM
The candidates must have the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination [i.e. LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/any other equivalent exams] as under:
- Fifty-five percent (55%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
- Fifty percent (50%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
M.Phil Law
The candidate shall have an LL.M. Degree from any recognized University securing not less than ‘B+’ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent.However, this condition is relaxed to 50% marks or its equivalent in the case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / Persons with Disability.
Ph.D Law
Candidates who have obtained a Master’s Degree or equivalent qualifications in Law, Management or Humanities or other cognate disciplines from any recognized University or Autonomous Institution securing not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.
