National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship And Management Sonepat was established in 2012 and is recognised as an "Institute of National Importance". NIFTEM Sonepat has been recognised by the Indian government's Ministry of Food Processing Industry (MoFPI), MHRD and AICTE.
NIFTEM Sonipat offers courses including B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D programmes. Students seeking admission to NIFTEM Sonepat B.Tech programme should qualify JEE Main, while for M.Tech admissions GATE examination is required and CAT/MAT examination is required for MBA programme. NIFTEM Sonepat also offers scholarships to students. The placement cell at NIFTEM Sonepat looks after the placements of the students. NIFTEM Sonepat provides a hostel, library, laboratories, and medical and sports facilities.

Candidates who have passed their class 12th exam Subject combinations in the qualifying examination shall be as under: Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Bio-technology. Candidates must secure atleast 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects. Besides a candidate must have appeared in JEE (Main)
M.Tech Food Supply Chain Management
B.E. /B. Tech. degree in Food Science / Food Science and Technology /Food Technology and Management / Food Technology/Dairy & Food Technology/Dairy & Food Engineering/ Agricultural and Food Engineering/Four years Bachelor’s degree or a Master's degree in Agriculture with Agronomy/Horticulture/ Vegetable sciences OR M.Sc.
