Netaji Subhas Open University Kolkata, also known as NSOU Kolkata is a government-owned university in the state of West Bengal. The university was established in the year 1997. The university offers admissions only in distance learning mode. The courses at NSOU are offered across UG, PG and doctoral levels. 

Admissions to NSOU, Kolkata is done to courses like B.Com, B.A.,B.Sc., M.A., M.Sc., and Ph.D, and a few others in multiple specialisations. Candidates seeking admission must fill the application form and pay the application fees on or before the last date. NSOU admissions to UG and PG courses are given based on the merit of the qualifying examinations while admissions to Ph.D programmes are given based on entrance examination and interview.
