Candidates with a regular bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Architecture / Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Construction Technology / Planning / Urban Design / Masters Degree in Geomatics / Geo-informatics / Geographical Information System / Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Geography, Economics or Sociology from a recognized Institution / University are eligible. Candidates seeking admission are required to have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates from the reserved category) at graduation level. Final-year-eligible graduating students can also apply. However, such candidates must have completed (passed) their Graduation before the commencement of the program.
B.Tech Civil Engineering
a) Candidate Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates).
b) Passed three years of D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
c) Passed a minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Disability candidates).
PGD Quantity Surveying and Contract Management
- Candidates with a regular bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Bachelor of Science or Equivalent Qualification from a recognized Institution / University are eligible. Industry-sponsored candidates with the above criteria are also eligible. Candidates seeking admission are required to have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates from the reserved category) at the graduation level. Final-year eligible graduating students can also apply. However, such candidates must have completed (passed) their Graduation before the commencement of the program.
MBA Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management

Candidates with a regular bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology in any discipline / Architecture / Bachelor of Science or Master of Science qualification in (Physics/Chemistry/Electronics/B Voc [Renewable]) from a recognized Institution / University are eligible to apply. MBA Advanced Project Management
Candidates with a regular bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Planning / Interior design / Science / Arts / Commerce / Finance / Banking / Management / Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Agriculture / Pharmacy / Information Technology from a recognized Institution / University are eligible. Candidates seeking admission are required to have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates from the reserved category) at the graduation level. MBA Advanced Construction Management
Candidates with a regular bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Planning from a recognized Institution / University are eligible. Candidates seeking admission are required to have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the candidates from the reserved category) at graduation level. Final-year-eligible graduating students can also apply. However, such candidates must have completed (passed) their Graduation before the commencement of programme.
Ph.D Health and Safety in Construction
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent, OR Master’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grading points on other scales, OR M.Phil. degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
- Application for admission to both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs is invited two times in a year - October-November (for sessions commencing from January), and April-May (For sessions commencing from August).
- All eligible candidates are invited to apply for admission in various specializations, and the NICMAR Ph.D. admission test will be conducted for all applicants. The duration of the examination is 120 minutes and comprises 120 questions (60 questions on Research Aptitude and 60 questions on the relevant subject).
- The admission test and interview hold a weightage of 70% and 30% respectively in the final shortlisting process for admission. Candidates are expected to show research preparedness and aptitude for research during the interview process.
- Only those who have secured a minimum of 50% in the written examination and 50% in the interview separately are eligible for admission. The final admission offer also relies on additional criteria like the candidate’s research aptitude, and the availability of a supervisor in their chosen field.
