Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Pondicherry is a private university established in 2008. SBV Pondicherry has been accredited by the NAAC with an "A++" grade. A deemed to be a university, SBVU Pondicherry has constituent colleges including two medical colleges, one dental college, two nursing colleges, a school of pharmacy, a school of biological sciences, a school of physiotherapy, and a school of allied health sciences.
The Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Pondicherry has been recognised by the UGC and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO).
