St Xavier's University Kolkata (SXUK) was established in 2017. It is a state-private university approved by UGC. St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is a Jesuit University. SXUK offers courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. St Xavier's University admissions to BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons) and BMS (Hons) programmes will be done based on class 12th score, while admission to integrated law programmes will be done on the basis of admission test score i.e (Xavier Law Admission Test (XLAT)).
