Surya World University, Patiala was established in 1990. Surya World University, Patiala is a state-private university approved as per Union Grants Commission norms. The college offers different courses in two distinct levels. Interested candidates can pursue courses in Engineering and Architecture, Management and Business Administration, Pharmacy, Hospital and Tourism, Computer Application and IT. 

Surya World University offers B.E/B.Tech, B.Arch, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, B.Com, B.Sc, BHM. as undergraduate courses. And M.E/M.Tech, MBA, and MCA as postgraduate degrees. Admission into UG courses is given based on merit acquired in the qualifying examination. Whereas admission into B.E/B.Tech programme is done based on JEE Main scores, NATA scores are considered for B.Arch admission, CAT/MAT/XAT scores are considered for admission into MBA and MCA Programmes and M.E/M.Tech admissions are given based on valid GATE scores.
