Tamilnadu Dr Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), Chennai was established in 1997 and is recognised by the Bar Council of India. TNDALU Chennai offers two levels of programmes - undergraduate and postgraduate.
TNDALU Chennai is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). TNDALU Chennai offers courses that include BA LLB Hons, B.Com LLB Hons, BBA LLB Hons, LLB and LLM. Admissions to TNDALU Chennai are mostly based on merit in the qualifying examinations.
TNDALU Chennai offers placement assistance to the students on campus. The placement cell of TNDALU trains the students with development skills, soft skills, and many other activities. - The candidates should have passed any degree and should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate.
- The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 55% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
Note: The applicants who have completed 10+2 or graduation/post-graduation through the Open University system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible.
Employed candidates are not eligible to apply.
B.Com LLB Hons
- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Commerce group subjects or equivalent examination with relevant subjects alone are eligible to apply. They should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
- The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
- In the case of students, who make a claim under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category, they should have secured not less than 60% in the qualifying examination.
LLM Environmental Law and Legal Order
Candidates who have successfully completed a three year / five year under-graduate degree course in Law conducted by the University or equivalent there to shall be eligible for admission to a Master’s Degree programme in any of the LL.M. courses. Candidate should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks under New Regulations [40% under Old Regulations]. The candidates should have completed the course the formal education in the 10+2+3 format. Candidates who are awaiting results may also apply.
