Established in 2017, YBN University, Ranchi is a state-private university. The university is situated in the Ranchi city of Jharkhand state. The university is approved by the Government of Jharkhand and UGC (University Grant Commission). It provides a diverse range of programmes across multiple fields such as engineering, management, pharmacy, agriculture, computer science, law, education, nursing, and more. The institute currently has 18 schools which one can check via their department list from their official website. Over 32 degrees and 135 courses are listed in the university. 

YBN University courses include B.Sc, B.Com, B.B.A., B.A, B.C.A and L.L.B., M.A., M.Sc., M.B.A, M.C.A. and L.L.M. Various research and diploma courses are also offered under various departments. The fees and eligibility criteria vary from course to course. For admission, candidates must fill up the online application form on the university’s website. Admission to the YBN University is based on the academic merit of the candidates. The merit list is prepared according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. For PhD admission, the university conducts a PET (PhD Entrance Test) examination.
