Achariya college of Engineering Technology is a new generation engineering institute which was established in the year 2010, located in Puducherry-India. This affiliated college which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has a fairly good choice of engineering courses to offer out. The ACET is established with a faculty strength of 140 members and offers 8 courses and 2 degrees of different levels. This college offers several engineering disciplines such as computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering. Technical education has been sectored by ACET through incorporating contemporary facilities and curriculum.
The college has put in place impressive infrastructure equipments that I believe will foster learning among the college learners. On the campus there are also endowments of laboratory for practical training along with the theoretical knowledge. Modern educational library consisting of books and journals as well as electronic resources helps students to get the material they need. Owing to the establishment of highly developed information technology system, students of the college are exposed to the modern technology and appropriate software.
For the overall personality development, Achariya college of Engineering Technology has wonderful sports den which consists of cricket ground, football ground, volley ball, basket ball and inside games. The campus also has facilities for both physical fitness for the men and women with different gyms for each sex. A spacious modern auditeria with an accommodation capacity of six hundred is used for seminars, guest speakers, cultural meetings, etc. Medical services include medical check-ups and also the issuing of a visiting physician to the college which remains in line with the college’s motto of promoting student’s health.
This is why ACET provides engineering programmes that interest the students as well as meet market needs. The institute presents 8 full time programmes/ courses out of which 6 are B.Tech programmes and 2 are Diploma programmes. The bachelor in technology programmes offered include computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, and the emerging area of artificial intelligence and data science. Besides, Diploma programmes in Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are also provided at the college. For all the courses offered on cumulatively, the intake approved is 510 students, which is a clear show of the institute’s ability to develop a pool of engineer hopefuls every academic year.
