One of the reputed institutions in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, Adarsa College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2008. This is a co-educational institution with a 2-acre campus solely meant for Pharmaceutical Education and Research. This institute has been approved by PCI and thereby functions as an affiliated college, in so offering quality pharmaceutical education. This, combined with an academic staff of 37, results in a good student-teacher ratio within the college and creates a good learning environment. The institute provides four distinct courses of pharmacy—a B.Pharma, M.Pharma, D.Pharma, and Pharm.D—that are designed for different levels of pharmaceutical education. The college has a number of facilities on offer to complement the academic field for the students.
It has a well-equipped library that will serve as a knowledge reservoir for the students, with access to large amounts of pharmaceutical literature and research materials. The institution is provided with modern laboratories for practical training in pharmaceutical sciences. Adarsa College of Pharmacy has a health centre with first-aid facilities for the health and welfare of its students. The college takes into consideration the need for a wholesome student experience and hence provides students with sports facilities on the college campus for physical recreation. Adarsa College of Pharmacy offers four full-time courses; each one is designed in either different aspects and/or levels of pharmaceutical education. The B.Pharma programme, being of four years and belonging to the undergraduate level, and D.Pharma, a two-year diploma course. The college also offers advanced studies through its M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics, which is a two-year postgraduate diploma programme, and the Pharm. D, which is a highly intensive six-year doctoral course. The duration and the area of specialisation gives students an option to choose the path that he or she finds right to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
