Akal Sahaye College of Education was started in year 2008, at Hira Singh Nagar, Kot Kapura, Faridkot District, Punjab and is an affiliated college. This institution is located in a small one point one zero zero acres of land and is committed to producing professional educators. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college offers two full-time programmes: Following courses are offered: Bachelors in Education (B. Ed.), and Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.). It is a young institution with a combined strength enrolment of 203 students and has 8 faculty members to train the future generation of teachers.
Akal Sahaye College of Education has acquired several installations aimed at improving the learning process of the students. Resource rich library centre is a knowledge resource centre while information technology enhances learning and exposes learners to modem trends in learning. The health centre is found on the campus which encompasses first aid services for the students of the university. For physical fitness a gym and sports facilities are provided for the students and other personnel. The college has accommodation for event and seminar as well as an auditorium that enhances the learning environment of the college. Facilities are literally referred to as laboratories that address the practical aspect of teacher training, an eatery in this case known as canteen serves good food for the personnel and students.
Akal Sahaye College of Education lays down only 2 main courses in the field of education. There is an approved B.Ed programme which is a two-year full-time course for 100 students. The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) another full time course of two years can enroll 50 students. These course is meant for preparing students so that they could effectively perform teaching profession.

The admission to Akal Sahaye College of Education is done on the basis of merit Wise and the process starts in the month of July. For the B.Ed programme, It was declared that admission will be given through common entrance test for which a university nominated by Government of Punjab will conduct the entrance Test. By post or collected from popular local booksellers, application forms are available by getting a form code and taking an address from the booklet. The admission policies to the D.El.Ed programme also fores identical merit list system, as prescribed by the State Government, the UT administration and the university to which the programme is affiliated.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
D.El.Ed
Candidates with At least 50% marks in the Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
