Al Shifa College of Pharmacy located in Perinthalmanna was established in 2002 to be one of the most famous colleges of pharmacy in Kerala India. This affiliated college is well known for its quality in pharmacy education and research work. It is NAAC accredited college affiliated to the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and NBA accredited and PCI approved . The college has 765 students in total, 152 of which are male, while the rest, 531, are female. Currently, the institute has 53 teaching faculties of 4 degree programmes that offer 8 courses in emphases of pharmacy education.
Better still Al Shifa College of Pharmacy has equipped recognisable tools that will provide the students with adequate academic and even personal needs. The library and information centre consists of a pile of books, manuals, and the most current national and international journals. For practical learning purpose, the college has established several laboratories to support practical learning for different sub disciplines of pharmacy. The college and its various facilities are wireless enabled so as to allow the students internet access within the compound of the college.
This pharmacy-focused institution has a wide scope curriculum and degree offers eight courses at different levels of study. These are undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Pharmacy offered as full courses. In the most recent academic year, the college produced many graduates who were expected to increase the proportion of qualified pharmacists in the country’s health arena.

Thus the admission process adopted at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy is that of identifying the deserving candidates. In case of the B.Pharma and D.Pharma courses, admission are generally on the basis of merit list. M.Pharma programmes and Pharm.D admissions are still being offered through the central counselling by Kerala state self financing B.Pharm management association (KSSBCMA). For Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate, admission is offered on the basis of GPAT rank, state level entrance test rank or B.Pharm percentage.
