Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri was started in the year 2003 and is a constituent college situated in Amritapuri, Kollakom, Kerala. It is a co-educational institution providing for a broad spectrum of programmes in different areas of specialisation; these courses include 11 and the degree offers 7. The school has hired 76 committed educators with competent skill levels required to offer a good standard of education and adequate individual attention for the students.
Amrita School of Arts and Sciences boasts of well equipped facilities that can enable it meet the need of the students enrolled in the institution. Facilities such as laboratory, library, classrooms etc are well endowed for the purposes of academic achievement. Admission process in Amrita School of Arts and Sciences is planned very scientifically to choose the talented students only. In most courses, you get chosen through entrance tests or an interview. Whereas some programmes need the candidates to pass an entrance examination, such as M.Sc Chemistry and M.Sc Physics; and some programmes consider the accumulated marks of the qualifying examination along with interview such as MA English Literature. The M. Com Finance and Systems programme only uses an interview as a basis in the selection process.

MA English Literature
An undergraduate degree with a First Class or a high Second-Class from any recognised Indian or Foreign University.
Ph.D English
Master’s Degree holders satisfy the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. program of the same Institution.
Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized, or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory jurisdiction in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.

50% Marks Aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the Higher Secondary examination and a Valid Rank in the Amrita Entrance Examination-Physical Sciences
20% of the seats is reserved for Students with a valid Rank in Amrita Entrance Examination- Engineering, JEE, ISER, CUET, NEET.
M.Sc Physics Hons With Minor in Scientific Computing Integrated
Age: Candidates born on or after 1st July 2003.
Educational Qualification:
- 12th or equivalent with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from CBSE/State Board/ICSE and should have a separate minimum of 60% marks in Physics.

B.Sc Mathematics Hons with Minor in Data Science and Computer Science

M.Sc Environmental Sciences with a Minor in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Food Science, Geography, Geology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Plant or Animal Science, Agriculture, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Forestry, Horticulture, BTech in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or equivalent examination with not less than 55 % marks in part III.
