Anuradha Mahila Shiksha Prashiksha Mahavidyalaya is a college for teachers’ training in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Despite its establishment in the year 2006, this affiliated college has been producing future educators for the coming generations nearly two decades. Spread over the area of one acre the institute has four streams of education but total capacity to admit students is 615. Currently the college employs 35 faculties, which keeps the student to teacher ratio relatively low. Affiliated to National Council for Teacher Education NCTE offers undergraduate as well as diploma courses with keen emphasis on quality education in the field of teacher education.

The college has various infrastructural facilities that aim at improving the flow of learning to the students. The college boasts of having a well stocked library that contains more than 6,675 books, 23 journals, 4 periodicals for heuristic purposes. A large hall with a total area of 1,000 people’s seating capacity is an A class auditorium with cultural and educational functions. On the field of practical training, the institute has established specified laboratories such as Technology Lab, Psychology Lab, Language Lab and Home Science Lab. These facilities are beneficial in that it gives students the practical working knowledge necessary for teachers. The college also acknowledges health needs through a large playground of an area of 453 square meters to accommodate several sports. Furthermore, the institute offers transport facility, girl’s hostel also to accommodate out-station students tension free.

Taken together the Anuradha Mahila Shiksha Prashiksha Mahavidyalaya offers four courses in the field of education, all of which are for full-time. These include the B.Ed programme for two years with 200 seats, D.El.Ed programme for two years with 50 seats and two new integrated four year courses – BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed. The college aims thorough teacher preparation and offer programmes in various levels of education. 615 total enrollment makes noteworthy contribution in terms of the teaching workforce for the concerned year.

This pattern of admission is in compliance with the state government policies on admission to colleges as practiced by Anuradha Mahila Shiksha Prashiksha Mahavidyalaya. The B.Ed programme enrollment is through merit achieved in the Pre-Teacher Entrance Test (P.T.E.T) a test conducted common to all the states in the country. Similarly for the integrated BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes there are Common Entrance Test (PTET) organised by respective state governments.
