Situated in the heart of Durg, Apollo College of Nursing, Durg, was established in the year 2008 and has grown as one of the premier institutions providing nursing education in Chhattisgarh, India. Apollo College of Nursing runs a wide variety of nursing courses to suit different types of nursing education. In total, there are 8 courses at the institute under 3 degree levels, namely undergraduate and postgraduate courses. At the Undergraduate level, courses are 4-year BSc Nursing and 4-year General Nursing and Midwifery. At the Post Graduate level, there is the 2-year Post Basic BSc Nursing. Candidates who opt for advanced specialisation can pursue the various MSc Nursing programmes in branches like Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatrics Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing. GNM
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
- Registered ANM with a pass mark.
- For foreign nationals
- The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
M.Sc Community Health Nursing
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirement shall be the passing of a B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
B.Sc Nursing
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Minimum education:
- 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with an aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
- The student shall be medically fit.
- Students appearing in the 10+2 examination in Science conducted by the National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
- Students shall be admitted once a year.
M.Sc Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirement shall be the passing of a B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
