The Arunodaya Institute of Legal Studies popularly known as AILS was established in the year 2006 in Bangalore, Karnataka. This BCI affiliated college offers various specialised legal education programmes. AIL is a petite institution, occupying mere 1 acres of land located at Padmuri in Cuttack, though it has established itself strongly in the domain of legal education. It offers a small student to enrolment ratio of 400 and faculty strength of 13 to ensure adequately suitable environment for the future legal practitioners.
The institute possesses a wine of facilities , which are intended to foster human learning of its learners. The core facility of AILS is its rich library that has standard legal books, latest Bare Acts, legal magazines and Journals like SCC, AIR, ILR, KLR, HCC etc. This well-stocked treasure trove provides students the opportunity to explore the specifics of legal education. AILS provides two substantial programmes in law in order to satisfy differential academic leaning and career goals. It offers the five-year integrated BA LLB programme for those students who want to go full time and the three-year LLB programme for law course for full time students.

- Seeking admission into a 5-year law course only the 10th and 12th qualification suffices with the 10th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into the 5-year law course.
- The qualifications for 10th and 12th may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
- And the Pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
