Ashoka Law College, KATHUA is an affiliated college which was came in to existence in the year 2004 and situated in Jammu and Kashmir –India. Located at Monke-Talab, Lakhanpur, this is a law college focusing on the legal learning and functioning under the Bar Council of India (BCI). Thus the college located in a 2.5 acres of campus, has on strength a total of 84 student and 12 faculty. Ashoka Law College offers two full-time law programmes An integrated BA LLB course of five years and a three years LLB course for nurturing the legal professionals of the region.
This college is equipped with a number of facilities that are expected to improve the learning facility offered to the students. A modern user library plays the role of an information center that contains the current books on different branches of law and is affiliated to many Indian and foreign journals such as the American Journal of International Law. The staff in the library is always prepared to help students in their research assignments. For the professional training of the students the college has provided moot court facility in which students can practice advocacy by themselves under the supervision of faculty members and practicing advocates. It is by far one of the most useful opportunities that can be provided to individuals in terms of building practical legal skills.

- Seeking admission into a 5-year law course only the 10th and 12th qualification suffices with the 10th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into the 5-year law course.
- The qualifications for 10th and 12th may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
- And the Pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
LLB
- Seeking admission into 3-year law course qualifications needed are only 12th and three-year graduation, with 12th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into a 3-year law course,
- The qualifications of 10th, 12th (+2), and graduation may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
- And the Pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
