Ashwini Nursing College was set up in 2004 and is a prestigious centre for learning nursing situated in Tumkur, Karnataka. Christ University’s affiliated college, approved by the INC offers quality learning in the field of the nursing. The college is located on 2-acres of land that afford the college a conducive atmosphere for learning and individual development. This coupled with total student intake capability of 288 and a faculty strength of 16 makes Ashwini Nursing College capable of delivering individual attention coupled with right kind of support to student. 

Ashwini Nursing College  has a fleet of equipping styles new college facilities that are expected to support the learning needs of the students. The efficient library as academic resource centre has adequate standard collection of textbooks, reference books, handbooks and encyclopaedas which are pertinent for nursing curriculum. Modern laboratories help students to elaborate the acquired theoretical background in practice. The college also pays emphasis on all round development of its students which is why it has provided the students with sports facilities and also an auditorium for other co curricular activities. To provide the necessities, the college has planned to construct a girls’ hostel for the convenience of outstation students. To promote for the welfare of the students the institution has health facilities for first aid with some necessary equipment, and a canteen to supply foods that can be eaten by the students and some staffs. Furthermore, the college provides transport services and transports for safe and convenient travelling for students and members of staff from different places.

Ashwini Nursing College offers two full-time nursing programmes: Distance education B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. The four years’ B.Sc Nursing course has an intake capacity of 60 whereas the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, a two years’ course has intake capacity of 45 students. Each of the programmes provides the student with an all around knowledge and skills that are considered relevant in the nursing profession.
