Awadh Dental College and Hospital was established in the year 2007 in Jamshedpur in the state of Jharkhand. This affiliated college is located in a vast land of 5.05 acres and holds DCI- the Dental Council of India approval. The institute offers a range of dental programmes, including 1 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses, catering to a diverse student body of 548, with a female-to-male ratio of 1.71:1. The college has a faculty strength of 167 skilled, qualified and committed academicians to churn out quality education to the students.
Awadh Dental College and Hospital has modern infrastructure necessities for academic operations within its college. The library containing number of dental articles, journals, and multimedia resources is capable of handling classes of 100 students. Regarding skills lab, there are fully equipped lab which include clinical lab for blood test, diagnostic centres etc. It also has separate hostel accommodation for boy and girls with spacious room with well furnished with attached toilet and with available air conditioner. Students are privileged to utilise a gym, cricket field, football ground, Basketball court area and Badminton hall, and facility for indoor games.
The various dental programmes offered by the Awadh Dental College and Hospital are a good mix of basic educational programmes that create a good foundation for new dentists. The college offers 8 programmes, which are all at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and are all full time programs. The BDS and seven MDS specialisation courses. They are Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Periodontology.

The availability of Dental colleges in Agra was limited and to seek admission in Awadh Dental College and Hospital students appeared for national level entrance tests. BDS admittance is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) for the BDS programme. Likewise, for every MDS course, NEET-MDS is mandatory for all the candidates and those who are not on the merit list as per NEET-MDS are not allowed to join MDS programmes. These standardised test also mean that the college is selective in admitting students hence upholding academic quality. The entrance procedures in the institute are very competitive based on entrance test results at the institute, academic standard, or other requirements as provided for under the law.
