Bagru Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur Rajasthan is an affiliated college for the conduction of teacher education. The institution that has been moulding future educators for more than two decades has it origin in the year 2003 and is co-educational. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) thus making it conform to the National Norms on training teachers. Located on a small piece of land of 0.98 acre, the institute provides an environment conducive for learning to its 194 students with a student faculty ratio of 15 with 13:1 for faculty and students.
For its part, the college has state of the art facilities in the college to support learning for students. It has a fully stocked up library that boasts of over 5000 books, 500 reference books not forgetting NCTE journals that can help the students to be updated in their fields. Due to the library central to the college’s campus and ability to seat fifty students it can be deemed as the centre of academic activity. For hands-on learning, the college maintains three specialised laboratories: A psychology lab, a science lab, and an educational technology lab, as well as classrooms for language acquisition. These labs provide an excellent opportunity for preparation for a teacher, which is necessary for any training laboratory.
Bagru Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya currently offers one primary course: as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. This is a full-time course that takes 2 years to complete and it has an approved capacity of 100 students in each course to ensure that the college delivers quality education due to limited size of classes. Need for the Course The B.Ed programme aimed at producing competent professional teachers with theoretical knowledge and teaching skills as required by current teaching profession.
The Admission of the students at Bagru Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya is follows the norms prescribed by the State Government and the university with which it is affiliated. Any person who wishes to join any of the courses offered by the University must either sit for a qualifying examination or sit for any of the University or state government examinations.
