Baharagora Polytechnic was established in the year 2017, situated in Baharagora, Jharkhand. This AICTE approved technical institution offers diploma courses in numerous fields of engineering. Located at Knowledge Park NH-33 East Singbhum the polytechnic offers total number of students enrolment capacity 720 and faculty position 44. The institute offers four full time diploma courses in the field of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Mining Stream.
There are plenty of premises that is available for students to enhance their educational and personal development. A good library is defined as an accumulation of scholarly articles and other literature for purposes of reference. There are departmental laboratories which are important in providing practical lessons that are essential in details understanding of engineering principles. There are playing grounds in the campus to promote physical exercise and activeness as well as spirit of fellowship in students. First aid facilities in a health centre make the college community healthy. It also lays emphasis on an equally fine IT facility; an area that the students need in today’s world.
The Baharagora Polytechnic launched a total of four diploma courses in its institution and all of them are full time courses. The institute offers courses in which students are offered career opportunism in different branches of engineering.

The admission process at Baharagora Polytechnic is restricted by the entrance test organised by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). This standardisation of the admission makes its possible to give the deserving candidates throughout the state a chance of studying technological courses at the institute. JCECEB examination forms the basis of admission to all the four diploma courses which the polytechnic offers.

Diploma in Civil Engineering
The candidates passing Matriculation/I.C.S.E./C.B.S.E. Or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and with a minimum 50% of marks are eligible for seeking admission to the polytechnic.
Admission In Lateral Entry
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO 2-YEAR DIPLOMA COURSE UNDER VOCATIONAL TO DIPLOMA PROGRAM:
Candidate should have passed Intermediate Vocational Examination with any one of the subjects: Computer Science, Electronics Technology, Radio Tv Technician, Automobile Engg& Technician, Mining Geology.
OR
Candidate should have passed the Matriculation Examination along with 2-Year ITI Prog.
OR
Candidate should have passed 10+2 (Science)/I. Sc. with Mathematics.
