Making Balaji College of Pharmacy at Sanapa Road, Alamuru Post, Rudrampet, with an establishment in the year 2005, it's one of the more famous and oldest of institutions dedicated to Pharmaceutical Education in Andhra Pradesh, India. This is a co-educational college with a campus area of 2.5 acres. Being a constituent college approved by PCI, it offers a variety of pharmaceutical programs. Having an enrolment of 694 students and a faculty strength of 49, Balaji College of Pharmacy offers a very conducive environment for aspiring pharmacists. The college offers 7 courses in various aspects of pharmacy education at 3 degree levels.
The students in the institution have a very good number of facilities to help them in their learning processes. A well-stocked library caters to the knowledge hub, whereas the laboratories are well-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide practical training required for any pharmacy education. Medical facility in the form of a general medicine dispensary is available in the campus for taking care of student's health. Sports facilities are made available in the campus to engage in extra-curricular activities. Auditorium facilities have been provided for numerous events and seminars for the enrichment of the academic atmosphere. IT infrastructure also has not been left out to help students be in tandem with today's technological world. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided, which are equipped with all the modern facilities and offer very comfortable accommodation for out-station students. A canteen provides food to the college community, and transportation is available to facilitate commutation for students and workers.
There are a number of programs provided at Balaji College of Pharmacy. It offers 7 full-time courses including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. It has a flagship course of B. Pharma with 100 students, while Pharma.D offers a 30 intake capacity. At the PG level, it offers various specialisations in M. Pharma with an intake capacity of 15 seats each. It further offers a Pharma.D Post Baccalaureate with an intake capacity of 10 students. These courses, spread out, cater to different career aspirations in this very field of pharmaceuticals and hence are quite all-rounded.
