Barrister Ranjit Mohanty International Institute of Technology, Khordha, Odisha was set up in the year 2008. Being an affiliated college of AU, this institution enjoys the blessing of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which provides it a rich and varied Engineering curriculum. BRMIIT has a vast campus of 12 acres to provide a suitable atmosphere for technical education institution. Institute has recruited 68 faculty members to maintain quality in all its 12 courses offered over 3 different degree levels. In terms of gender, BRMIIT is a co-educational institution and extends a membership of engineering students to all prospects.

The Barrister Ranjit Mohanty International Institute of Technology boasts of a full complement of learning facilities to ensure a holistic learning environment throughout the academic year. Engineering student uses well-equipped laboratories according to their stream of engineering and thus students are facilitated to practice, to experiment. It is a repository center where a large number of information resources are made available for academic activities. Extracurricular activities at BRMIIT include: – Sporting facilities that enhance the overall health of learners physical, team building. Particularly, a special attention is paid to the IT infrastructure to let students use the technologies of the 21st century. The institute also has its boys and girls hostel to accommodate students commencing from out stations comfortably. A facility for the preparation of meals serves the eating needs of all learners in the campus as well as staffs; transport facilities provide adequate means to travel.

Programmes offered by BRMIIT are a total of 12 programmes where the institution provides specialisation in different engineering fields. These are first degree full time B.Tech programmes, master degree full time M. Tech programmes, and diploma programmes. It is important to note that the B.Tech programmes are general four year programmes in electrical and electronics, civil and electrical branch, M.Tech and diploma programmes are comparatively shorter

Regarding the procedure of selection BRMIIT follow an admission process which is open and merit based. Cut offs for the B.Tech programmes differ where the institute depends mainly on the scores of the JEE Main, a national level engineering entrance examination. This help in ensuring that students who had good foundation in mathematics and science are selected. For Masters in Technology M.Tech programme admissions are offered directly from OJEE scores.
