BSOLS also known as Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies, is a legal education college situated at Chunangamvely, Kerala which was set up in 2013. This affiliated college recognised by bar council of India is one of the emerging and rapidly growing college for legal education. BSOLS is located in a limited space of 1.14 acres and remains aimed at providing its 809 students with various types of Law programmes. Te school has a faculty of 42 committed teachers to improve the student-teacher ratio in the institution. Offering 7 courses across 5 degrees, the programme of BSOLS offers specialised legal education in different domains and responds to the demand of the modern legal environment.
Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies campus is fully equipped with better amenities and furniture essential for conservative and comfortable learning. As an information centre, the college host an impressive collection of books, e-journals and periodicals, fitted with internet facilities. Legal students will surely appreciate the air-conditioned moot court which is a copy of a real courtroom to mold students in their future profession. The college also has another large hall,dubbed as hall of excellent that is used for both academic and cultural activities including the graduation ceremony.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Scholarship funded allows the students at Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies numerous faculties such as a playing ground and gymnasium for sporting recreation, a canteen, and a health centre with first aid facilities for overall student development. It has Wi-Fi connectivity for the students to have the needed exposure to technology They have well equipped language lab to support the students to have proper communication skills as a professional legal personality in the Campus.
Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies well equip in law courses that include; undergraduate and post graduate programmes in law. The institution provides three integrated five-year programmes: Five years integrated programmes are BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and B.Com LLB (Hons). For those who are interested in an undergraduate law degree, there is a conventional LLB, three-year programme. At postgraduate level, BSOLS provides two years LLM programmes in Criminal Law, Commercial Law, and Maritime Law. All degrees are taught on a full-time basis allowing students to gain a profound academic base and professional experience within their field of interest at the Meanwhile Northumbria Law School offers courses with a part-time study option. The total approved intake for all the courses offered in the institution is 390 students and this show the institution’s policy of keeping small class sizes in order to retain quality in the courses offered.
The admission process that is followed at BSOLS is that a competitive field of candidates is selected. With regard to undergraduate programme, fifty percent of seats are admitted to students offered through the Kerala Law Entrance Examination, KLEE, set and conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. Out of the remaining seats, 50 percent are filled under management quota. The same procedure is applicable for post graduate admissions which is 50% state-level entrance test, 50% management quota. Thus the dual admission model carries out the merit selection in the standard entrance exam and integrates the institution’s discretion selections.

BBA LLB Hons
The Candidate should get Minimum percentage of marks not below 45% (without Rounding) of the total marks in case of general category applicants and 40 % of total marks (without Rounding) in case of SC and ST applicants, must be obtained for the qualifying examination, such as +2 examination.
B.Com LLB Hons
The Candidate should get Minimum percentage of marks not below 45% (without Rounding) of the total marks in case of general category applicants and 40 % of total marks (without Rounding) in case of SC and ST applicants, must be obtained for the qualifying examination, such as +2 examination
LLM Criminal Law
Candidates who have passed the LL.B. examination (5 year / 3-year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the universities in Kerala or other universities recognised by the universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the LL.M. course. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.
Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular final year LL.B. examination can also apply for the entrance examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralised Allotment Process.
LLM Commercial Law
Candidates who have passed the LL.B. examination (5 year / 3-year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the universities in Kerala or other universities recognised by the universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the LL.M. course. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.
