Bir Bikram Memorial College (BBMC) was established in the year 1969, is one of the prestigious educational institution situated at Agartala Tripura. This affiliated college approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) manages to provide a wide variety of undergraduate programmes in various fields. BBMC is located in a 9 acres area and it has total 2482 students 55% males and 45% females. This college is run by a faculty of 43 members, and currently has 13 courses spread across the five degrees, which are arts, commerce, science, and engineering.
To this end, BBMC boasts of well-developed facilities that will help academics as well as the all-round development of the students. The college library, an important learning resource center, consists of over about fifty thousand books, which also has different sections for Boys’ reading room, Girls’ reading room and Teachers’ reading room. It also has in it a digital cataloging system that facilitates the management of available resources. Students can join numerous school sporting activities held indoors and outdoors with some new infrastructure attached to the sports department for installation of basketball and volley ball courts. Again, the college is avails modern Information and Technology facilities and Wi-Fi facilities to help students get information. An auditorium is used to conduct events, seminars while department laboratories meet pragmatic learning requirements. Other facilities are a cafeteria, gym and the student’s strong association through an annual working Alumni Association with the institution.
The college has 13 undergraduate programmes all of which are face to face programmes. These comprises many BA honors courses, Degree programme in B.Sc honors, as well as general humanities and science degree programme and commerce.

As it can be seen, the majority of students entering Bir Bikram Memorial College is done on merit basis, a pointer to the college’s culture of upholding academic success. CUET UG test scores are also accepted by the college for entry into its Undergraduate programs.

- Any student passing H.S.
