The Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Allied Health Sciences, founded in 2002, is an affiliated college located at Howrah, West Bengal. This institute specialises in Pharmaceutical education with its tuned and skilled faculty strength in Allied health sciences. CIPTAS is duly approved by AICTE and PCI. The campus has boy's and girl's hostels that provide comfortable accommodation to the outstation students. CIPTAS also provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities and has a playground within its campus. Interdisciplinary tournaments are annually organized within its premises. The institute takes care of the student's welfare through the first-aid, in-house medical facility and the ambulance service in case of emergencies.
In total, CIPTAS offers five courses: undergraduate and postgraduate programs in pharmacy. The institute offers full-time courses in B.Pharma, M.Pharma, and D.Pharma. Out of these, the B.Pharma course has the maximum intake of 100 seats. All M.Pharma specializations have an intake of 15 each, except for the M.Pharma in Pharmacology, which has 9 seats. D.Pharma accommodates 60 students. All of these courses are oriented toward training their students in various aspects of pharmaceutical science for their diverse career-building processes within the industry.

The admission process in CIPTAS varies from program to program. For example, the college offers admission into its B.Pharma course through national- and state-level entrance examinations conducted by JEE Main and WBJEE, respectively. The aspiring students for the M. Pharma courses need to qualify either through GPAT or through the Post Graduate Entrance Test conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT, WB, earlier WBUT). Certain programmes at the institute have admission based on West Bengal Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry (JELET) scores. The CIPTAS has an extended active alumni network linking its students to graduates who are already establishing names in the industry.
