CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli (CARE CET) is one of the premier self-financing college was started in the year 2009. Situated in Tamil Nadu, being an affiliated to Anna University Chennai this T.J College of Engineering has emerged as one of the premier institutions in the country dealing with engineering and management education. The CARE CET is spread over 13.43 acres campus and Composite of 8 courses of 3 degrees for the total 475 students. It has a strength of 108 facalties which contribute a good student-teacher ratio. All the above mentioned courses offered by CARE CET have been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) While the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has endorsed the school’s programme.
Students are provided with a number of modern amenities in learning facilities in the college. CARE CET comprises of numerous and diverse programmes for the undergraduate’s and post graduate’s plates. The institute offers 6 BE courses out of which some of are listed below: BE in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. At post graduate level the college provides following ME programmes: Engineering Design, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Construction Engineering and Management, and Master in Business Administration. The total intake that has been approved has been set at 516 for these courses The department which takes the largest number of student is the Computer Science and Engineering which has been given 120 seats.
The admission process at CARE College of Engineering is mainly through the entrance examinations. In order to enter an undergraduate engineering programme, the candidates are required to take the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling. Current admission to ME programmes is through the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) entrance test and the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The college also has MBA entrance through TANCET scores More over the college provides the Dobble mileu course for the students.
Regional scholarships available at CARE CET includes various scholarships aimed at encouraging the learners. There are also scholarship operations based on results depending on which obtainees are granted 50% of tuition fee exemption for high scores in exams, and the sports scholarships which grant considerable fee cuts and other incentives for achievements at various levels.
