The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Raipur, was established in the year 2015 as a focused institution for imparting education related to Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology. Located at Industrial Area Bhanpuri, Near Urkura Railway Station in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, CIPET Raipur is an affiliated college granted approval by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The institute has a vast 10-acre campus with four different courses running under three degree levels. The total student enrolment here is 447, and the faculty strength is 15. The admission process in CIPET Raipur aims at admitting students who are capable and have the motivation to pursue various courses. In the case of B. Tech courses, students are admitted based on good marks secured in the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test. For the courses on Diploma and PGD, the scores obtained by the candidates in the CIPET JEE Joint Entrance Exam are considered. Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
