Cheema College of Education, was founded in the year 2005 and is situated in Gurdaspur District of Punjab. This co-educational affiliated college seeks to prepare future educators through available specialised programmes. The college is affiliated to the university and is accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on a small five acre of land it is a small school that provides its students with a sphere for learning. The college offers individual attention to each budding teacher with a enrolment of 57 students and 6 faculty members.
Cheema College of Education has a variety of user friendly facilities that supplement the learning process of the students. , means equipped library contains more than 5500 books and it contains the text books, reference books, educational journals and research material for research work. Besides, the campus has the Arts, Social Science, Science, and Language laboratories which facilitate practical sessions. For the physical needs of the students, the college provides a gym and athletic fields. A health centre is with first aid that helps in the protection of students. The college also offers other facilities like computerised library, a central hall for events up to seminars, clean canteen, etc. For student and staff cars, there is enough parking space for everybody.
The Cheema college of education has two full time programmes in education field. The B.Ed programme has a capacity to commence 100 students and the D.El.Ed has 50 students intake capacity accordingly. They are both aimed at preparing the student for a teaching profession by providing them with all the information and desirable skills. The existing concentration of the college on these two specialised courses provides an opportunity to train teachers intensively and be correctly prepared for their further pedagogical activity in the sphere.

In Cheema College of Education, students are offered admission based on scores obtained in the qualifying tests and/or entrance tests. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto, be are eligible for admission to the program. Any candidate with 49.9% or less marks would not be eligible.
D.El.Ed
- Candidates with at least 50% marks either in (+2 for ETT and Bachelor’s Degree for B.Ed. ) the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program. Any candidate with 49.9% or less marks would not be eligible.
- The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Candidates with 44.9% marks or less would not be eligible.
