DDMC was set up in 1979, the college is located in Khowai of Tripura and it has a very good reputation in the area. This affiliated college having a campus area of 9 acres has been imparting quality education to the students that needs in the region for the last forty years. DDMC teaches 19 courses across six different degree programmes, to a total of 2,710 students. In terms of gender distribution, the college has a relatively equitable male to female ration with 49% male and 51% female students, all students are undergraduate.
It is in this setting that the college has availed different facilities in a bid to improve the learning process of its students. Core to this is DDMC’s fully equipped library, which serves as information hub to academic programs of Arts, Physical Sciences, Bioscience, Information Technology and Facilities Management. Another significant facility of the college is the subject based laboratory where practical practice of the students is ensured. For this category of students, DDMC has put in place boys’ and girls’ hostels to allow the out-station students live comfortably. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled which gives a student full connectivity to digital resources. With reference to the college physical education amenities, the gym is available for physical fitness buffs, and specific sports amenities have been put in place for various interest in sports. An auditorium is used for events and seminars, and such stimulating opportunities form a stimulated social life on campus. Other facilities and services include a shop essentials, photocopying and banking services with automated teller machines within institute.
The firm offers both full time, regular undergraduate programmes which include 19 courses in total.

It is worth mentioning that participating faculty institutions, DDMC specifically, entry policy is open with regards to admission based on merit. The college also accepts Students’ chances for admission to various programmes are based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) for the University and the country at large as per the BCI guidelines.

- 40% marks in aggregate & 45% marks in the subject in which he/she is seeking honours.
- 35% marks in aggregate & 50% marks in the concerned subject.
- 50% in aggregate for having Hons. In the subject which candidate did not study in H.S(10+2) or equivalent Examination.
- Hons. Subjects will be offered to students on the basis of an index to be prepared by adding marks in the subject in which a student intends to take Honours. To the aggregate marks in the H.S or equivalent Exam.
