Delhi Institute of Rural Development or DIRD, Delhi, was set up in 2002. The DIRD Delhi is an affiliated college located in the village of Holambi Khurd in Delhi. This Bar Council of India recognised the institution and it provides undergraduate programmes in various fields of study. Spread over a small area of 1 acres, DIRD Delhi has 585 students enrolment and 15 faculty members. It offers three courses to help the students who seek to build their career in legal sector as well as other career domains. The most famous among them is the BA LLB (Hons) integrated course.
DIRD Delhi has a number of amenities aimed at improving the student experience as well as facilities that would facilitate learning. The college library is one of the essential facilities of the college involving almost twenty-four thousand books and getting access to fifty journals, magazines, national and international newspapers. It is, therefore, completely computerised with the latest internet connection that makes research and learning easier. In the aspect of health and wellness, the institute has a health centre which contains facilities for first aid services. Sports enthusiasts can make use of different athletic facilities so they keep fit both physically and in terms of team work. Technological enlightenment is also well developed throughout the college with four computer labs fully equipped with appropriate software and hardware to shape the students on the modern technological environment.
The institute has a rich set of full time courses in stream such as – BA LLB (Hons), B.Pharma and D.Pharma. Altogether the university offers three undergraduate courses for students to choose from in order to suit their academic needs and goals.
Admission procedure at DIRD Delhi is basically different for each course offered by the university. The GGS-IP CLAT is the test that the candidates have to give for admission in the BA LLB (Hons) course. As a nationally accredited entrance examination, it makes sure that the institute sets itself a good foundation for admitting students who possess a good foundation for legal learning. In other courses, the institute assesses academic performance and may set its own tests, or interviews for admissions.

BA LLB Hons
The candidate should have passed 12th with 50% Marks (English+ Best 3 subjects) from a recognized board.
B.Pharma
Candidate shall have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually—any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
D.Pharma
The minimum eligibility qualification is a 10+2 level of education in the science stream, from a recognized educational board, for admission into the Diploma in Pharmacy [D.Pharm.] course in any college. A minimum aggregate score of 35% (Passing marks) at the 10+2 level is also necessary. The cut-off percentage of marks differs as per the University/College.
