DGB Dayanand Law College, Solapur, is a law-making institution established in 1964. DGB Dayanand Law College is situated at Raviwar Peth, Dayanand Nagar, Solapur, Maharashtra. It is one of the affiliated colleges that has been chiselling legal minds for five decades and is under the accreditation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and also has BCI approval. Spread over 63 acres of campus, it has the total students' enrolment at 389 and the faculty strength of 5.
The college is dedicated to providing a conductive learning environment with the availability of a range of facilities. The library is the "heart and soul" of the institution, with over 20,000 volumes covering wide areas of legal subjects. Internet facilities have been made available to the students. Both boys and girls have hostel facilities. Of course, for out-of-town students, comfortable accommodation is ensured. The college has sports facilities, an auditorium for events and seminars, and a health centre with first aid facilities. For physical fitness, a gym has been placed on campus.
DGB Dayanand Law College offers four full-time courses in law. Their curriculums cover the three levels: undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate. The programmes include BA LLB (5 years), LLB (3 years), LLM (2 years), and Ph.D. in Law. There is no specific number of seats allocated to each programme.
BA LLB admission Admission to this programme is offered by the college based on merit over the qualifying examination. The LLB programme gives due consideration to merit in the qualifying examination. This is a three-year bachelor's degree. LLM The rules and regulations applied for admissions are defined by the university. MHCET Law: The college considers the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law for its undergraduate programmes.

BA LLB
The student must have passed the H.S.C. Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 45% of marks at the qualifying examination. However, the above percentage of marks will be 40% for the student belonging to SC/ST categories.
LLB
For admission to the 1st Semester of Three Year LL.B. Degree Course, a student must have passed the Three Years Duration Bachelor’s Degree Examination in any Faculty of a recognized University with a minimum of 45% marks at the qualifying examination. However, the above percentage of marks will be 40% for the students belonging to SC/ST categories.
LLM
The candidate must have passed, the LL.B. three years degree course after graduation, or five years of LL.B. courses after the 12th standard or equivalent qualifications, of this university or any other recognized university.
Ph.D Law
- Master’s Degree holders satisfy the criteria stipulated under Clause 2 above.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
- A person whose M.Phil. the dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. program of the same Institution.
- Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.
