Dhanvantri College of Nursing, Namakkal, was started in the year 2001, is one of the growing institution, in Tamil Nadu, in the field of nursing education. Affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, this college is situated in Ganapathypuram, Thiruchengode and consists of 14 acres of land. The institute has 10 kinds of nursing programmes that include four levels of degrees; 411 students enrol in this institution. With an approval of 100 students, B.Sc Nursing is the landmark programme offered, while the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing takes only 30 students. At post graduate level, college offers M.Sc Nursing in Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, and Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing limited number of students in each section. The college also, provides a Doctor of Philosophy – Ph.D. programme in Nursing for those who wish to become researcher and teacher in the field of nursing.
