Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education came into existence in the year 2006 in Kurukshetra, which is one of the premier institutions of teacher education. This co-educational college is located opposite New Bus Stand, Kheri Markanda, Kurukshetra, Haryana. It is affiliated with National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi. It is distinguished by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which serves as proof of the striving and commitment of the institution towards quality in the field of education. Spread over a 1-acre campus, the institute offers 3 degree programs with a total student enrolment of 400. All the sanctioned intakes for courses put together are 300 seats, wherein the B.Ed has a maximum intake of students, around 200 in number; on the other hand, M.Ed and D.Ed have 50 each. All programs are designed for completion in 2 years and provide comprehensive training in various aspects of education and pedagogy. Admission to B.Ed and D.Ed programs shall normally be made on the basis of merit, considering marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University. For the M.Ed course, candidates have to face an entrance test conducted by the University. B.Ed
Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification, equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
M.Ed
Those who acquired their Bachelor of Education Degree can pursue Master Degree in Education. Percentage of marks for eligibility is 50% in general as per norms of the University the candidate belong to caste (SC/ST Haryana) the percentage for eligibility to the said course is minimum 45% aggregate in Bachelor of Education Degree.
D.Ed
Candidates with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
