Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) was established under the name of Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) on the 12th of June 1964 through the APAU Act 1963. Later, it was renamed as Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University in honour and memory of the noted Parliamentarian and Kisan Leader, Acharya N. G. Ranga. In 2007, ANGRAU was awarded with ICAR awards.

ANGRAU is situated at Karlapalem road, Guntur District, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. Nearest railway station is Appikatla railway station, Andhra Pradesh. Students can take bus or cab from the nearest railway station to reach the college.
Accreditation and Collaborations:
- ANGRAU is collaborated with several National Organizations like, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of India. It is having collaborative research programmes with most of the All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRP) for which funds are received from ICAR.
- This college is also collaborated with international universities like Alabama A & M university, USA, Alcorn State University, Auburn University, Cornell University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, USA, etc.

M.Tech Soil and Water Engineering
A candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 4 years duration (B.Tech. or equivalent) in relevant subject under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university shall be eligible for the course.
M.Tech Farm Machinery and Power
A candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 4 years duration (B.Tecg. or equivalent) in relevant subject under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university shall be eligible for the course.
B.Tech Agricultural Engineering
A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with Physical Science and Mathematics.
M.Tech Agricultural Process and Food Engineering
A candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 4 years duration (B.Tech. or equivalent) in relevant subject under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university shall be eligible for the course.
Ph.D Agricultural Process and Food Engineering
Admission to the Ph.D programme is based on the candidate's performance in the entrance examination conducted by the University. M.Tech/M.E (Agricultural Engineering) from a recognized university is the minimum qualification for admission into the Ph.D programmes.
Ph.D Soil and Water Engineering
