Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Government Arts College, Yanam, initially started in the year 1973 directed from Puducherry, is a guiding light of University Education of Union Territory of Puducherry. This affiliated college is situated in a 5 acre land and provides 12 courses in 6 degrees. With 501 students in its rol and 32 teaching and non-teaching faculties, it is uniquely small and intimate. The opportunity to have gender equal numbers of male and female students with 330 male students and 279 female students forms a good proportion in the provision of education.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Government Arts College has a variety of amenities intended to support the learning procedure and improve the academic environment of the college. The centrifugal resource of any academic institution is the library complete with modern facilities, which contains 25026 volumes of books on various disciplines. This large collection of resources is for both student and faculty use and is updated frequently to include new and updated editions. For practical experience, the college has departmental laboratories to enhance the practical lessons to be acquired in different fields offered at the college. The college offers 7 full-time undergraduate programmes and 5 post graduate programmes, which includes BA in Economics, B.Com, B.Sc programmes, MA and M.Com, all offered in the regular mode. A candidate who has passed a Bachelor's degree of 3 years duration (B.A. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university.
B.Com Hons
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
M.Com
A candidate who has passed a Bachelor's degree of 3 years duration (B.Com. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university.
B.Sc Chemistry Hons
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it, shall be eligible for the course.

Its equivalent with 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology Proficiency in English Communication.
B.Sc Computer Science Hons
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it, shall be eligible for the course.
