Dronacharya PG College of Education Kangra is the affiliated post graduate college established in the year 2006 situated at Rait Tehsil–Shahpur, Kangra district Himachal Pradesh. Affiliated to National council for teacher education, the institution has been working dynamically to offer a wide spectrum of programmes in both education and management. The college occupies a small area of 1.23 acres and has a total enrolment of students 445 and faculty members about 66. It is co-educational and offers five separate courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to suit different fields of discipline and career options.
The Dronacharya PG College of Education is fully aware of its responsibility of creating the best learning environment with all the relevant amenities. The split hostel of boys and girls is advantageous for students; the school provides large, well-ventilated rooms for both boys and girls. This is an additional facility as the campus has a well-fit gym at the campus to ensure every student additionally every faculty member is fit and healthy. The college library has over thirteen thousand five hundred books with the addition of new editions constantly.
Dronacharya PG College of Education has a total of five full time courses with combination of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college offers various programmes that include the B.Ed, M. Ed, BBA, BCA, and PGDCA giving the learners a variety of packages in the educational area as well as managerial positions.

The admission process of Dronacharya PG College of Education differs due to the type of course a student wants to pursue. For the B.Ed programme, the admissions are merit based by taking into account percentage or else the marks of the students in their qualifying examination/entrance examination accordingly or as per the norms of state government and the university norms.

BCA
The Candidate should pass 10+2 (Plus Two) Examination under 10+2 system or examination equivalent there to of a Board/ University established by Lawin India with 40% marks (35% marks for Scheduled Caste/ Schedule Tribes);
OR
Any examination of a University/ Board/ College or School in foreign country recognized as equivalent for the above purpose by the Vice-Chancellor/ equivalence committee of its own or on recommendations of Association of Indian Universities with 40% marks (35% marks in case of SC/ST)
PGDCA
Candidates who have passed graduation examination in any stream from H.P. University or any other examination considered equivalent by the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category) are eligible for admission.
B.Ed
The Candidate should pass B.A, B.Sc, B.Com. with 50% marks for General candidates and 45% marks for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
M.Ed
The candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs:
1.B.Ed.
2. B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed.
3. B.ELEd.
4. D.ELEd. with an undergraduate degree (with 50 % marks in each
Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the rules of the central Government! State Government whichever is applicable.
Age limit - There is no upper age limit for the candidates applying to the M.Ed. the course of two years.
BBA
