Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, was established in the year of 1924. The Faculty of Law DU is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). Faculty of Law University of Delhi, Delhi courses are offered at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. LLB, LLM and PhD are the courses offered by the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Faculty of Law DU admissions to LLB programmes are through the LLB entrance exam. Faculty of Law DU selection process for BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes is through CLAT scores. As per the Faculty of Law DU LLM admission process, candidates must qualify for the LLM Entrance examination. PhD Entrance exam is conducted for the Faculty of Law DU PhD admissions.
The Faculty of Law placement cell provides training programmes to the students that will help the students understand the insight view of the industries. The placement cell also provides seminars, guest lectures, resume writing sessions and many more. Faculty of Law, University of Delhi facilities include hostels for boys and girls, a moot court, a seminar hall, medical facilities, a library and many more.

Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Location
The college is located at Chhatra Marg, Art Faculty, University Enclave, Delhi. Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station is 1.5 km away and Delhi Junction Railway Station is 4.6 km away from the institute. The nearest bus depot to the institute is BBM Bus Depot. Indira Gandhi International Airport is 24.6 km away and it will take around 50 minutes to reach the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Students can hire a cab or take a bus to reach the institute.

LLB
The eligibility criteria for admission to LL.B. Degree course is as follows:
- For General candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
- For other backward classes (OBC) candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks.
- For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) candidates, a Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 40% marks. ( As per Bar Council of India requirements)
- Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of ex-servicemen as prescribed and wards of serving personnel (CW) category who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards.
- Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) category.
LLM
The eligibility criteria for admission to LL.M. (Two-Year) Degree course shall be as follows:-
- For General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, a three-year/five year LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate for Two-Year/Three-Year Course LLM. The OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer shall be given a relaxation in the minimum eligibility in the qualifying examination and in the minimum eligibility to take the entrance test to the extent of 10% of the minimum eligibility marks (50% prescribed for the general category less 10% = 45 %). The benefit is available to castes which appear in the Central List of the OBC only.
- The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) having a three year/five-year LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks for 2yr/3yr LLM or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
- Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of ex-servicemen as prescribed and wards of serving personnel (CW) category who are in receipt of Gallantry awards
- Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the physically handicapped (PH) category.

- The candidates securing the marks prescribed above or appearing in the qualifying Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LL.M. Entrance Test but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum eligibility marks prescribed above.

- No candidate on the rolls of LL.M. or who is otherwise ineligible to be admitted to LL.M. course shall be allowed to appear in the LL.M. Entrance Test.
LLM Three Years
The eligibility criteria for admission to LL.M. (Three-Year) Degree course shall be as follows:-

Ph.D Law
- LL.M. degree from an Indian University with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
- A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy-layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the University Grants Commission from time to time, or for those who obtained their Master’s degree prior to September 19, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system if followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.
- Candidates with LL.M. or equivalent degree must appear in a written entrance exam conducted by the University of Delhi in order to be eligible for interview. Based on the performance in the written test, which is the qualifying exam, the shortlisted candidates shall appear for an interview.
- Candidate who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF/DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE or equivalent national level examination/fellowship (as identified by DRC)/GATE/teacher fellowship holder, and teachers who are in service of University of Delhi may directly appear for interview, provided they have registered themselves on the Ph.D. Online Admission Portal.
- No candidate shall be eligible to register for the Ph.D. programe if he/she is already registered for any full-time programe of study in any University/Institution.
BA LLB
- Students can pass 10+2 in any stream, such as Science, Arts, or Commerce.
BBA LLB
